X67c wont shut off

 Just charged the battery and fired up my new x67c. For some reason it wont shut off. It is off when i connect the battery,but as soon as i turn it on it wont power down.  Ive googled and searched every place i can think of and still no help.  Everthing else seems to work on the unit. I can add a toggle switch but would rather be able to shut it off on the machine. Any help is appreciated.

Hard Reset:
1. Press and hold the down arrow key.
2. Press power, unit will enter production test mode.
3. Press exit key 5 times.
4. press ENTER and unit will shut off.

I tried that and it seems to do the same as when i try to shut it down normally....just fires right back up. Thx for the idea though....im stumped.

disconnect the batteries....then check it again, although I guess you probably already tried that.

I had the exact same problem on mine and I beleive its a hardware issue. Everything worked fine just wouldnt power down and stay off. I tried everything and same results.  In the end I just power it off then un hook the power for 5 sec. and it will stay off.

Sounds like its time to contact Lowrance and/or have the unit exchanged.  I have an Elite 4X with the ice kit which I have yet to use on the ice.  I will watch for this as well.

 Thx for the help fellas....this is one reason im not a fan of ordering and shipping electronics. I sent Lowrance an email so ill wait to see what they say. Im headed up north for 4 days Thursday...so im taking it with me. Ill wait to send it in until after that if i have to.
