Trying to head north this weekend  from sepa to some ice!!!!! Is it gonna be worth my time

I would say you're wasting your time, and gas.  Although, I cannot confirm ice conditions, with the weather we've had I wouldn't risk it just yet, IMO.  As of Christmas morning I saw no lakes in my area of susquehanna county that had been completely locked up.

Most lakes up here were capped...up to and 1.5"....smaller ponds in normally colder spots fishable but usually private...I'm waiting until new years eve...and who even knows what all this snow did to it?

dont hit west pa. open water on my 3 lakes from 80 down to lawrence co.

Going to try and get out somewhere on Sunday, some places may be good to go by then, no promises though. It all depends on what the snow and wind do, if things calm down, there is some grreat ice making weather the next few days. SOrry to say, I think you can forget about anywhere that doesn't already have a cap.

Hi everyone! I'm a newbee to the site but have been ice fishing some 30 years. SE PA. not lucky to get enough ice last year but hoping to get some this year.There are four decent lakes in my area so as soon as I can hit them I'll post reports. Wish all a Happy New Year..
