Found a nice patch of ice to hit this morning with Coldsteel his buddy Graham and Big Jim for our first trip of the season. Had a nice solid 3" of ice and we setup our gear hoping to catch some trout. The 1st half hour it was slow, then for the next 3 hrs it was almost non stop action. We caught them on tipups and while jigging, hitting live bait, egg sacks, and Swedish pimples. Will let the pix tell the rest of the story...Merry Christmas to you all!

Very nice. Hoping to get in a little fishing tomorrow... The small resevoir I live on had one bay locked up with 2 inches yesterday that I was slowly walking around on. Seen a few small bass looking up at me.

We hit the same spot today guys, much much different that Christmas eve...with 4 of us we got a total of 6 fish...just seemed like the storm front my have turned them off. We still saw plenty swimming by the holes, but couldn't get them to bite. Still was great to be out on the ice...a few more days of this cold and my ATV will be on the ice by this weekend...i know this snow may mess things up, but hopefully it will help get those water temps down quicker on those lakes that are still without ice.

No pix today, they all were about the same size as Xmas Eve.
