About 2-2.5 inches ice. Leaving at midnight with three other guys. Going to Upper Red Lake ice fishing for three days. Big walleye,crappie,northern here we come.

Nice, my dad lives in that area, i went down to Sandy Hollow by Sioux Center on Saturday to check the ice but it was not safe yet, hopefully by this weekend.

I stopped at Sandy hollow the other day too and had about 2" on, walked a little bit. Need some cold nights to grow some. I could not believe how low water level is.

Ya it looks like they are going to try to combined the two ponds if the water level gets up to normal again and then hopefull they put a decent boat ramp in too.
