old clam ice hut

Wow just picked up a used original clam shelter can't find any info on it but for size its like 74 inches tall 5 feet long and 36 inches wide I know its pretty old and the guy took great care of it but any information on it would be nice it does have the writing "the clam" on It. He did say it was one of the originals too but its in amazing condition I love it

Yes and its big it folds into 5 feet long 36 in wide and 10 in tall its too big to fit in my car but works just fine in my  durango lol. Its going to work great when I take my kids out its huge

I have one that's 23 years old...  I love that thing...  I wish they still made that model... I think they make one now that has three folds but its like 8 hundred dollars...    You got yourself a great find...

I paid 100 dollars for it the guy was really nice and was more than helpful I asked him how old it was but he wasn't sure but he said it was when they first started making them and only had two models available which were clam junior and the clam. But as I said it is immaculate it truly is. The canvas is perfect and he had extra replacement clips for the bars in case they break and a added ply wood floor and fishing chairs. This guy was my savior lol. He had another one that is a frabill and I called him after I got home and asked if he'd hold that one too till monday cause my check screwed up

Well I mounted some 4 x 4 pieces of wood on the inside and drilled holes that the ski poles slide into... 
 And it holds heat just fine..   All I use is a Coleman 2 mantle lantern..

Sounds like a 2000 or 5600 early versions
