Tarryall Reservoir, 12-7-12

Couple of days late, but here goes. Me and Dad went out Friday afternoon from 2-4. Was by the backside boatramp in 10-11 feet of water. On 8-9 inches of ice. Still open water in 4 different spots in the middle of the res. Was only 50 yards off shore. I caught 2 rainbows and 1 17 inch pike. Kept all 3. Had 7 other hits. Dad only had 1 hit. They were hitting Powerbait and not wax worms. Deadsticking and real light biters. Cold weather should freeze the rest of the res.

Thanks for the report. I'm glad someone's getting out. After hitting a low of -20 F at the Mile last night I hope to start icing it next weekend.
