Watch out Thriller. Icechip is nipping at your heels. The big burbot are starting to show up. Nice fish icechip, but I know you can do better. Take that trip to your favorite ling lake and catch those 4 fters. I've seen some of your fish and you are the ling master

I know its a long trip but I will drive you there on my snowmobile. Leave the horses at home, machine quicker. Please old wise one. Pretty please.

From the best I can tell from the picture, it looks alot more like a brown; square tail, brownish back. Do you have a clearer picture, perhaps? Ps. She is a beauty either way!!!

TGF...it was only a matter of time...heading out Saturday for perch and possibly some burbot...I don't expect much, but the weather is supposed to be nice and will have the family out...it would be nice to at least get some photos for the pictures forum.

Fish into dark thriller till about 10pm. The big ones should be heating up any day now. Good luck and have fun with the family.

Hey - good burbot there, grump. Glad your dry spell is ended. How did you manage to get the fish to lie straight? The 14" one I got on Saturday did more "S'es" than was possible for a fish, and had to be "persuaded" to lie flat for measuring.

.......take a close look Monophil......see the dent in the head...

...and even with that, Mountainmama had to hold the glove down on the tail....2hrs later when it was time to clean, those good old esses again...permanent remedy?

First of all Congratulations on your great Pike, awesome Pictures. I am not sure what changed but jigging has slowed way down. We can use six lines here, and they have only been taking the tipups out a few feet and dropping them. So I went to slipbobbers, I had five poles in with slips on and the big fish came in, they would only pull the bobber down about six inches and hold it there. I set the hook on two in five minutes and caught these two fish and released them both.

Great catches, couple more weeks, the ice is think, go with a bigger hole to get those monsters thru the ice.
