Walleye4, it looks like you got into some really nice crappie. Those are pretty light in colour - are they white crappie? To my knowledge, we only have black crappie around here. Definitely nice fish.

thnaks guys first one of the year and first time on that lake this year... the gill was not my largest of the batch the largest maybe8 inches pitiful if you ask me, but I got a nice batch of them... will be posting pics in the pic thread I figured that 7 or 8 inchers will get me into the weekley drawings and neither will win the big gill award so I didn't care!!! lol

jigging, I think I'm getting the hang of this jigging stuff, most of my fish have come by rod this year. still use tipups but never would have made it with tipups today. Newest thing to do, jig.

Nice perch. You've beaten me good. Our weather has been way too warm and lost our ice so I haven't been out in over a week. Seeing you tie and then beat me and being unable to get out is driving me NUTS! It's got to freeze sometime though and then it's on. But seriously, that's a great perch.

Thanks for the congrats. I am gunning for a 16 incher this year but who knows...... I was not sure if i would get a big one this year after the tourny started but as it turns out i found one. Before the tourny started i had gotten three 14's and a 14.5, I thought that i had used up all my luck cause since the tourny i was stuck on a bunch of 13's. Im going to be going to a place that perch legends are made of for three days this weekend, we will see if i get the 16 incher or not.

Hope you get some ice soon so you can fish again before the season ends or better yet the tourny.

Your perch was quite the chunky girl....I wish mine was that fat.

Good job of your fish and the for the ones you will probably get.

Lets get thing started again the game has just begun.

thank god that wouldn't of placed. I was sure it wouldn't have. Next time I get a pike I hope its another one of those 11" that I have in my pictures thread in the pictures forum. I should get a prize for smallest pike

You are correct TFB. Once entered in any category, you are eligible for the weekly randomly drawn prizes. Once you win one, you can no longer win any of the random prizes...so there are 30 prizes (3 each week for 10 weeks) and there will necessarily be 30 different winners. An excellent way to set things up.

Why would Marbury3 want the weekly prizes anyway? It looks like he may simply clean up with the biggest fish.

Man, I gotta get out for some pike...perch are unlikely, might be able to place with a local crappie, lake trout could work, but I don't know much about them. The way I see it now for me is that I need to get big fish to enter as I've won a weekly prize, but if I don't catch them of sufficient size, you'll see them in the pictures thread.

There's some really nice fish being entered. I'm jealous and proud of you characters all at the same time.
