Lake George Perch 3-5
« on: Mar 05, 2005, 10:32 PM »
Went out this morning late, about 9 o clock we got on the ice and only stayed till about 12:30, but we still ended up with about 60 really nice perch between the two of us. We caught about 15 in the 1 lb range between the both of us, our best day on lake george in a while. The aqua vu helped TREMENDOUSLY, as there were guys 20 feet away from us getting hardly any perch, it was a great day to be on the ice.

My step-dad with a nice bass.

My pile of fish partway through the day.

The combined pile partway through the day.

Kingfshr16-
Nice job. I have had the flu or something for the last week that put me out of commission for a while so it was nice to see your pics...

Bigred, about half a dozen or so lakers came through, a couple looked to be very nice sized fish, but they just swam right through.
Auger- you gotta get yourself healthy and get back out there and get some more, maybe we can get together one day during the week and go catch some.

Also i saw quite a few crappies and gills and a few pickeral lingering but they didnt get a chance to bite the perch bite was too good. Some perch i saw were alot bigger than the ones i caught, but they were too weary to come right up and bite, and by the time they made up their mind other perch would bite first and they would move on.

BIGRED does lake george have any white fish -type fish in it? I have never heard of any from the laker but i was wondering because I saw something fairly big swimming around that caught my eye, it wasnt a laker or salmon but it did have a similar body to a laker and its nose was kind of down pointing like a whitefish or sucker?
