First Ice! Kinda?

Well, I made it out on the ice today, but it wasn't in the typical way.  The ice was too thin to walk on, to thick to easy paddle through with the canoe, but we were able to bust a trail and do some (ice) fishing.  Managed a few perch and some gills.

transducer is over the side of the canoe, it's blocked by my leg

If you put  little water in the bottom of the canoe the transducer will pick up fish and weeds and everything.  I did it in a canoe all the time.

yup, i said i would get an ice rod in the water this weekend, no matter what.  This was a little stock pond in the belle fourche area, and no, that's not a deer, it's a cow.  And KingCat, you were losing money at a poker tournament, or else I wouldn't have called you anyway.
