seems like any body of water with brown trout in it, there is always that one that seems to slip through the radar for the longest time till it throws in the towel or gets outsmarted once. congrats on the 4lb brown though.

Was up there this past weekend. Did well on saturday. Sunday was a different story.  Couldn't get em to take much at all.  Lots of slush on the ice in some spots.

we ended up on about 13" of solid ice. where the slush was at though there was about 6" of solid ice with about 7" of slush.

Drove by today no open water that I could see. Didn't test thickness. Wanted to chase the perch in SD. Everything was around 3-4 inches good clear solid ice on all waters we tested. I had to change my pants a few times, I'm still a wus when it cracks. Appleye got me a few times. Bloody ice. :pinch: :wacko:

LOL thats why I have an early season suit that floats it takes all the worry out of early ice fishin  :thumbsup: so did you guys catch some perch then ?
