7 above here where I is, should tighten things up no doubt. Think I'll put work on the back burner and do some fishing.
If it passes the ruler test, put it in the ice chest. Hook it and cook it.

12 degrees right now in north howell, looks like this ice season is gonna be a rollercoaster ride. Guess I'll stick to the spots I know, until next year maybe

51 today and a quarter inch of rain with more in the thunderstorms.
What do you mean by that?

jimmy said he wouldn't go on the ice he saw, but he did see people on that ice. i replied they must be skinny smokers.

i used to smoke and when i did i was skinny. skinny means less weight. less weight means people with less weight can stay on top of bad ice that heavier people are more likely to fall in.

what did you think it meant?

Pretty much that.. It's funny, and I asked because..

A fishing buddy and I were talking, how, everyone we know are pretty trim, and in fairly good shape, but we all smoke..

The conversation went on and I wondered who's going die first, both 6ft tall..

1) a smoker that lives an otherwise active and healthy lifestyle..@ 165lbs

2) non smoker eating bacon chips on the couch watching TV @ 280lbs

Wish I didn't smoke, but I think there are even more common worse things people take as normal..

And in one case (thin ice) it's healthier to be a smoker lol..

39 and rain let up finally!

i quit because two packs a day for 33 years of kools and coughing to wake up and go to sleep for 15 minutes first/after was trying to tell me some thing.

so after quitting i put on 35 pounds. i could feel the gut growing before it grew.

those were the days, but life teaches you what you have to do next to survive.

i quit one time and that was 9 years ago. hoping COPD doesn't play catch up next like so many ex smokers get.

i wore 28x36 pants and weighed 138 pounds most of my life. now it's 220! but i'm still here and not coughing any more.  pants are 36x30 now tho. so yep, different health issues from either.

i grew up with smokers on tv and magazines and friends and family. it's what every one did. even news casters.

I quit smoking a year ago, sure I put on some weight after but I eventually lost it from having an active job and lifestyle. It evens itself out eventually. I'm happy I'm not hacking a lung anymore, but in the end everything is going to kill you no matter what you do.

36 degrees btw lol
