back to normal temps end of the week with freezing day time highs and 20"s at night. record high today. will be 65 degree's.

I see freezing temps for about 2 days then back above freezing. I think if we are going to walk on hardwater it will have to be northern Michigan middle to late January.

Jan. 12th is my personal prediction for ice around my area. That still might be wishful thinking. Wouldn't mind a day or two day trip up north though. Anybody done any ice fishing on cedar lake in leelanau county? My dad said back in the day they usedto stick it with browns and rainbows. Kinda wanted to give it a visit. Also might have to hit up Arbutus and Lake Dewbanay (thats probably spelled very wrong.) for nostalgia purposes. Thos were the first couple lakes i ever ice fished back 20 years ago when i was still crapping crayons.

me too.everybody saying oh I love this weather, its so nice.screw that its the middle of December bring on some single digit temps.theres still bugs flying around dam it..

i must be a real patient person im not worried one bit about ice.we have had years were ice wasn't safe till mid January.which happens quite often due to heavy lake effect snow or rain on thin ice. nothing new around here in Allegan co.cant predict the future..
