x67c vs elite 4x
« on: Nov 25, 2012, 06:29 PM »
Hey guys, the past 4 years or so I have been thinking about getting a sonar/flasher. Really want one this year and want to order one this week. Did a ton of research (at this point over thinking it) and finally settled on the x67c,  though the show down was a close second.  Now I see the x67c is being replaced by the elite 4x and they are very close in price.  I know a ton about the x67c but little about the elite 4x as it seems to be too new to have a little info on it.  Any thoughts on which I should go with? Anyone see any good deals on either? If you really feel I should go with a different model let me know. Need to keep it under 300 to the door. Thanks guys.

This is a great price, I thought I came out good when I payed $270.  I have no experience with the Elite 4 replacement but I am sure it will be just as good and probably better than a 67c.  I can tell you that I had my first full ice season with my 67c last year and it blew me away, I didn't use my Vexilar once.

Yes it is.   I also keep it for a spare just in case someone tags along that doesn't have a flasher.

Thinking I am going to go with the x67c. Seems like a good deal., was considering the gps models but really want to keep it under 300 and ihave a hand held.  Boaters land seems like best deal though I can not see shipping  without entering ton of info . Wish there was more info on elite 4x as it is close info

Wow, that is a great price from Northwoods Outlet. I am debating the Lowrance Elite-4x from shopepal.com for 275.77 shipped versus the Northwoods Outlet X67C. Wish I had more information on the difference between the 2. Would rather spend the extra 30 for a better unit but new isn't always better.

I think the e4 has a bigger screen and gps I'd spend the 30 bones...

The 4x has two frequencies. A few different viewing modes and the new ice float.

I'd spend the extra. Boaterland has hen for $268

The ice-ducer won't work out to good on the boat.   So, get the boat-ducer and add a small sponge float to the cable. Also add a small light wire, from the cable to the ducer to keep it LEVEL on ice. Or rather hanging below the ice.  Questions?    ;)2
