What states have you ice fished in? What state was the best?

While I like the idea ..... The idea has never payed a great dividend for me.  :-\
Maine has been the best hands down.
I have fished Maine, Vermont, New York and Michigan. I hope to add Ohio this year since I live here  ;D

Jersey and New York. New York has been the best only because the ice in Jersey is hit or miss.

Michigan, Kentucky, and Wyoming.  The ice wasnt' the best in Kentucky.  I loved ice fishing in Michigan.  I need to go back sometime because the last time i went i was probably 12.  So i've learned alot since then.  I used to catch alot of fish then with limited and cheap equipment and bait.  I'd like to think i would really catch em now.  Wyoming is where i've done the majority of my ice fishing so it's got to be my favorite.  One of the coolest and one of the scariest memories i have ice fishing were in michigan on lake huron.  We used to go 7 miles out and once a small plane landed near out shanty town and the guys got out with their auger and gear and fished.  Really cool.  I finally got a four wheeler this year and i feel like i am spoiled.  The scary one was Tawas Bay on lake huron.    My brother and i thouight we saw open water and thought it was getting closer and kept telling our dad about it.  He said BS and kept fishing.  This went on for awhile until the crack under the truck was bobbing up and down and the open water was only a couple hundred yards out.  We packed up and got out of there.  By the time we got to the shore and on the road you could view the bay from where we had been the ice was gone.

Indiana....Ohio......M ichigan..........Illin ois and Colorado....for big fish COLORADO........Hands down

Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, I am going with Minnesota as the best of the three i've fished in.

Wyoming, Colorado, South Dakota, Montana. Hard to call between SD and WY. Both have been great.

Michigan(my home state),Minnesota,Wisconsin,Ohio,Ontario,Manitoba. Although Lake of the Woods has been the kindest of lakes to me...ive gotta go with Michigan then Minnesota. I LOVE it here and ive made thousands of memories fishing here..for me this is the place!!

Illinois, Iowa, Colorado, and now Idaho. Idaho dominates them all, different types of fish and the size. It's better because there isn't any pressure!

Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, North Dakota, and Minnesota. It is hard to beat the everyday fishing spots one finds and experiences success on when fishing their local lakes. That being said the most amazing icefishing experience I have ever had was on Lake of the Woods, MN. 4 days of consistent walleye/sauger limits and numerous slot fish was something I will never forget. I will also never forget filling 5 gallon buckets with slob jumbo perch on Devils Lake, ND...but Minnesota was like the mecca for me. I can't wait to go back!!

Ice fished in Mass,Vermont,and Maine. By far Maine is the best

Ma, Ny, Vt, Me, Ct, Nh, Nj, Fl, Ga, Ri,  I would have to say my home state of Ma. would be the best for me.

Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana.  Montana is the best!  Monster fish, lots of variety, very easy to fish all day and not see a soul.

I've fished Minn, Wisc, SD, Iowa and Indiana. IGL's best for gills and Mn for perch and crappies
