I'm thinking of heading to LL this weekend for the first time. Any recent reports in the last week or 2? Thanks!

I was out at lungs on Wednesday, its slowed right down. Jacks are active, caught 4 of them. Still seeing walleyes, butnot the numbers of them like the last few times,  they wouldnt hit the jigs/cranks/spoons and were biting short on the deadsticked minnows. Talked to a few other guys out there, and slow for them too. Fished 17-28 fow. Not a chance in hell of driving on anywhere, but the snow is hard enough its easy to walk on.

I am not familiar with either of these three lakes. So am I right that Lungs, Lenore, and St.Brieux are right close to each other? Are the fish in these lakes edible? For some reason I think I heard something way back that they weren't edible out of Lenore, I could be mistaken though and it was a different lake I was thinking of. I have never fished any of these lakes and would like to try sometime.

Lungs and Lake Lenore are the same lake, Lungs is an access point on the west side of the lake where it looks like most of the pressure comes from. Fishing has been good at lungs all winter. http://www.environment.gov.sk.ca/adx/aspx/adxGetMedia.aspx?DocID=90437caa-287b-4fa1-9217-8f5e5de1ad34&MediaID=bd109399-a270-4cfa-8cbc-d67f273ef6bf&Filename=2011+Mercury+in+Fish+Guidelines.pdf&l=English This website will tell you all you need to know about mercury levels in sk. I have kept several walleyes from LL in the 17-22 inch range this year and im not too worried

I keep fish once out of 8 trips or so in the reservoir's and farmed land surrounded lakes. Your not going to eat a fish and die but long term effects are possible. I see people Keeping there limit of eyes in Shannon also. On the  gov.website it says to consume only like one fish per person every 2 weeks. Shannon is one of the worst lakes for Mercury and Lenore is up there to. I had a eye tested in 2002 from the river about 20" cant remember the ppm. But was high in mercury. Then again most of us either drink or smoke and are slowly killing ourselves. ;D

We fished LL on Sunday. We iced 11 nice eyes from 1.5-3 lbs. That was with 4 adults and 2 kids, so it definitely wasn't lights out fishing, but kept us interested. a bit windy, but all in all, a good day to be out
