wow, im always surprised at such numbers..
here in British columbia we can only have one line thru the ice.
only time we are allowed to have two is when you are alone in a boat, and no pulling a boat on the ice and fishing two holes wouldnt be accepted

for any of you that are allowed say five lines, how do u think the fishing pressure/harvest is? not as many fish? or good sustainable stocking or fish populations have kept the fishing good?

Rebelss - What about open water? About 7 years ago when I fished there, it was only 1 line/hook (treble hook counted as 3 hooks unless is was on a lure). Is that still the case in MN?

That's why I'm heading North to WY (some 6 lines) and NE (5 lines) this season! Gotta get some use out of my Indian hill tip ups!

lavaman, let make a trip to Champlain and we can have 15 lines each!!!!!! The one time I was up there to fish, I got sick of setting tilts at around 10...

Yes, BUT in the Mississippi River Boundary with Wisconsin, you're allowed 2 lines PLUS three tip-ups.

In Pa they changed it a couple of years back to be 5 of any type. Doesn't help if they aint hungry

It's nuts trying to run 15 traps unless its slow. Inland lakes we can run 8 traps. During a rush it's not uncommon to have 5-6 fish on at a time!

Minnesota- 2 only, which i find ridiculous.
North Dakota, 4. Plan on driving over the border and fishing there more this year just for that reason.
