Clear Lake Weekend Cookout???

Hey all.  Coldwater told me awhile back he'd like to have a big gettogether some day on the ice.  Fish, cook, drink and be merry kinda thing.  ANYBODY INTERESTED?  Maybe Sunday noon on???  Just a thought...

Whadda ya think Maybe somewhere between the island and Dodges point? People seem to be catchin the yellows there during the day. Any other suggestions?

How bout it local folks.....Anybody wanna fishin party? Bust some Bass.....Bang some beers....Bring your Babe......Cook up some burgers???

After haulin the shack off last night I was wonderin (HMMMM...why DID I start smokin)

How about your thoughts on someplace Tom. Billys is an easy on but I don't know about the day fishin.

Hey...   The east side of the island in 14+ FOW good for eyes and yellows , Billy's maybe a closer walk.  If somebody had to use the bathroom, the store at the Y in the road would be fairly close, as opposed to hiking into the island interior a risking frost butt...

Well, I got about 2 hours of ice time near Billy's.  No luck tho..

Ya know, if we had a good chance at some yellows between the island and Dodge's point I'd prefer that.  Could Waterbug give us shuttle service with the Quad?  Everybody just be sure you pee before ya get out there....Sounds like 40 degree weather for the weekend.  Nice weather for a cookout...

Sounds like a great time....wish I could come.....even a bullhead would be great to catch through the ice for me at this point.  Working the Fisherman's Swap meet saturday until noon-thirty then have many errands to run and wont get out (should be  BEAUTIFUL day on the ice!!!).....Sunday I am doing wedding prep....getting married March 19 and cannot escape duties any longer...have been lucky enough to get away with not doing much until now....knew my luck would run out!  Have fun and catch some fish for me!!!!

Hey guys... The weather was a bit too crappy to get the wife and kids out there.  Hope you had some luck.  Yesterday by the island was pretty dead.  Was hoping the granddaughter could at least catch one fish.  Just have to try another time.  We drove to the north side and saw how big the open water was, WOW.

went fishing around billys sat night and the reef area had 150 yd stretch of open water. hopefully the cold spell refreezes it because the fishing was halfway decent.

FISHIN = POOR

FOOD = FAIR

Few dinks and a yellow was all.







Gonna try to get on the big reef tomorrow night if theirs any ice left.                             
Really startin to open up fast.
Bug saw somebody fishin in a boat by the hole uptown.
Stay safe on this melting ice everybody!

Man, if we had planned the get together on Sat., the weather was 1/2 way decent.  We got over there and talked with waterbug as he came off the lake with the 4 wheeler.  The wind was blowin so much it just took your breath away going into it.  I figured the wife wouldn't enjoy it much ion that weather (and the grandaughter).  Yes, the wife was ready go out on the ice, I couldn't believe it either.  And we had lots of food made up for everybody, darn it anyway.  Hope you guys had a good time anyway.  I'm going to try by Billy's early in the morning Wed. before I have to go to work in the afternoon.  Hope the ice is good over that way.  Anybody know?
