Anybody else wishing ice season was here yet? What's on your wish list? I think I'm going to order a power noodle while the blanks are in.

I wish it was! As long as the sun shines on my John Deere my shanty sits in the yard......

My wish list is: Good thick ice, chains for the 4-wheeler, rebuild of the shanty, and time with good friends-having a drink or 3 and catching fish!

I just want a normal winter where we can starting hitting the hard water in mid to late december and have good ice into the first week or 2 of March!!!

No 60 degree days in Jan and Feb.

I was out in the shop tinkering with one of my old Eskimo augers, rebuilding the carb so she's ready to go this winter, but I had to retreat from the heat !

My wife got me a Frabill portable for my B-D in March. My Sister-in-Law got me the Coleman heater. I purchased the Clam anchor bit (via cordless drill) to secure the Hub. It's a HOT June day and I want to sit in a nice 30 degree shanty jigging for what-ever. I guess waiting makes it all that much better come hard ice time.

i like fall fishing just as much as i do ice fishing. i do a trip to lotw in early october to get the juices flowing and keep busy on the water or ice until feb most winters. last winter....SUCKED.

I really wish it was. I have been stocking up on things all summer to play with this winter. I sold a shotgun last night so it looks like I'll be purchasing my new FL-22 soon. I'm getting way too excited about this season

bought a new 3 person clam explorer at scheels they had to bring it out of storage I think they thought I was crazy LOL but got it cheaper . It gives me time to get led lights wired in it and build a nice console for it . Plan on buying a new power noodle as well and a new FL22 tribeam . Have been working out in colorado making good money so Im goning to buy a few things . Been talking to fishermen out in colorado they said they had ice 12-14 " in Aurora lake could not believe they had better ice than us in iowa. I have been doing my best to cool off the state of colorado been installing comercial air conditioning out there LOL . If it doesnt get cold here in iowa might have to install some AC on some lakes this fall

Cant wait for cold weather to get here ;Dbeen a very busy AC season working 7 days a week for 2.5 months ready for a break and some good ice !!!!!!!

I was looking on a local site the other day and found a Frabill Triplex for $175. My buddy neeeded a shack but for that price if he didnt want it I would take it and sell it. I called my buddy and he was all pumped and glad to get it.

Well its supposed to frost tonight. Got me thinking about getting a jig order in this year. Want to get some more. Really hope we have a winter this year. Last year was great if you are counting days to the retirement home. Me it was brutal. One week ice, the next it was gone.
