May will be here before I know it so...there seem to be a lot of votes for Bynum...?
If I\'m not fishing, I\'m probably thinking about fishing...And if I\'m thinking about fishing, I\'m probably not getting much else done so, I might as well go fishing...Yeah, I just said that!

Mike I think you were on the right track when you said you might have to talk to the FWP bios.  See if they give you 2-3 lakes and then ask for everyones favorite out of those.  Seems like everyone wants a PS but not on their hometown lake.

nic Bynum and Frances are twice as big a Lake Mary Ronan and it handles it fine.

I can't wait for you to bring your brand of fun to the east side of the hill.  I never have enough "fun tickets" to get over to the other side.  Maybe next year(no more daycare).

I'd like to see Frances..........but Bynum would be a good second choice for me.......depends on FWP I suppose, but have a back up plan in case the same thing happens this fall and they change their minds..........would love to see all the dinks caught out of Frances.......LOL

Is LMR out then for next year's Ultimate Assault? Or are we talking about in place of Middle Thompson? Both probably..... so for a lot of us distance and affordable lodging are as big of factors as potential size of perch. Thanks for getting everyone involved.

You guys will be pretty happy when 2013 season rolls around...We have some BIG ideas, and most importantly, I have some folks who REALLY want to help us grow this thing, and pitch in to make things happen.

I am committed to bringing an event to the east side.  We will always do LMR, as long as the lodge will have us.  We will be switching it up though, not every lake every year, and I would like to get some new lakes on the schedules.

Mostly want to get folks thinking ahead, and not looking back...

BUT, probably not another 2 dayer next year, at least the way we have done it...I said probably so please dont everyone go on a tear about it...its something the board will be considering.

I like the 2 day events it helps to separate the better teams.  Anyone can go to a lake and on one day get lucky and catch a big bucket of fish but two days in a row is a bit harder to be that lucky. Consistency can be a bit harder as a team sometimes.  Any chance of maybe beaver creek south of havre or even Nelson.  Maybe no one wants to venture that far east though.

I would like to see Pishkun added to possible sites.  Seems to be a good supply of adult perch in there compared to Francis.  I haven't fished Bynum but would be happy to see it there as well.  Like was stated earlier Beaver Creek would be fun but seems to have sketchy ice a good part of the year.  Any of the bigger lakes like Nelson, Beaver Creek, Pishkun or Bynum would most liekly see me fishing a PA tournament next year.  Hope to see it happen Mike.

Montana power co used to have a tourney on houser. It's been a long time but can remember fishing it with the old man when I was in grade school.  Late 80s early 90s.  Don't know if it was a yearly thing or just that one year

You had 2 dayers this year?  Who knew!

I'm gonna go out on a limb here, but one day formats will probably work better for the crew I run with.

Just make sure they put you in lock down the night before day one. Cerece says baby sitting could be arranged for you.

Mike-
What about date/weekends? Are they going to stay the same again? That would be Jan 12th and March 2nd-3rd (if it is a two day, which I vote for if I get a vote). Thanks

I always try and communicate with Mike from McGregor, Gene from the perch pounder, Chancy from the LMR Snappy derby and Dave from Lewistown to make sure we have no conflicts with those four events.

Then I schedule the PA's...We will start a little earlier with a local event and coordinate with Region 4 for wherever we are going to do one.

Don't plan your vacation yet...but I will post the proposed dates when I submit my applications.

There seem to be more and more events every year, so conflicts are getting more frequent.  I really try to not conflict with other PERCH events, and I DO plan on fishing the Hebgen NAIFC next year.
If I\'m not fishing, I\'m probably thinking about fishing...And if I\'m thinking about fishing, I\'m probably not getting much else done so, I might as well go fishing...Yeah, I just said that!

NICE!!!  Maybe we can put our ladies on a team to kick every one's butt's!  We can just drill their holes and keep the ice cleaned out of them.

My vote would be Frances.  It produced some nice perch during the tourney (over a pound) and I know a buddy caught a ton of them.  Seems a little better location than Bynum....since its not really that far from Browning, Cut Bank, Shelby, Conrad....all potential spots for gas, food, lodging, etc.

We were denied a permit for a Perch Assault on Frances for 2012...not sure we can convince them to let us do one there, but it is up there on the list.

I would suggest a few folks contact the biologist for Frances and start to try and convine them otherwise?
