Who uses chum pots?

Im thinking of using chum pots like i do in saltwater. Any hints?
Action has been slow. I thought it might help.

Check the regs before you do as certain states don't allow you to do so.

Basshuntah, nothing in the VT book on it, so that makes it legal.  Just can't chum with anthing that could count as trash (like catfood cans).
