Wha...?!?!Auger stolen?!?!

Whew.... Thankfully it was me! 

Stopped for a burger at a local bar/grill with appleye last night after fishing, then took off for home and left the sled, bucket, etc in the bed of the p/u since I thought I may fish again today. Went out to the garage this morning to work on my taillight (thanks to appleye's keen eye) and unload my gear when I noticed the auger was gone! What a sinking feeling! Recalling a couple of drunks who were leaving the last night I looked over to the wall where I store the auger and it was there lol. I had completely forgot about taking it out of the truck to stand upright so oil wouldn't get past the rings. 

obv getting old(er) sucks 

btw, couldn't find the short so the truck is going into the shop Tuesday.

I can attest to the LOCALS only at R-Place....they are good....its the otsiders/drifters you gotta worry about. LOL Since the average age on a typical night at R-Place is a lil higher than half a dollar or maybe 60  ....couldnt be them. But you never know!

Just a brain cramp... I had grabbed it and put it up before heading into the house. But the pit in my stomach was there for a few moments before realizing it!

A terrible feeling indeed. Like the time I drove an hour and a half to the Mile to find out I didnt have my flyrod im its holder! Long quiet trip back by my lonesome.

I left to go to the lake awhile back. I was about 5 miles from the house and realized I left my auger at the home. Could have been a disaster.  I guess I need a check list.

I place all my faults on gravity.. It's getting stronger every year.  I can't jump, run or think as fast as I use to when I was younger..

I think you OL boys need a big enclosed trailer to keep everything locked and loaded then you know if that trailer is there you got everything  oh and all your gear stays dry and clean lol
