Bigjim there's a site for you, it's called myfishfinder.com. Let me tell you something, I moved up here from Georgia 2 1/2 years ago and got hooked bad on hardwater fishing. I'll take ice fishing over openwater fishing any day. BTW, I got a house for sale real close to the coast of GA where there's some of the best salt and freshwater fishing you could ask for.

i would of finished building our shanty sooner so that we could get it set up on the ice before those huge snow storms came and made the river unaccesible.  so now we have to wait until next year >:(

get my shanty on the ice, I still been getting out all the time but either been using a freinds house or just enjoyin' the sunshine, which is what i do most of the time. The problem is getting my shanty around, it doens't fit in my truck and i don't have a trailer, last year i had to rent one from u-haul, so i cost over a hundred buck to put it out on the lake last year, just didn't have the resources this year, a real bummer, but it didn't hold me back caught some nice fish sittin' on a bucket. maybe if i hadn't spent all my money on beer and school i would have a house on the ice to call my own. ;D

I would have broke his arm Pike4some. My tipups are for me to catch fish on not my friends. We have a rule that you keeps your hands off someone elses tipup. Plus, the two states I fish, Wyoming and Montana, its illegal as hell for someone to catch a fish on someone elses tipup. You get caught, its a huge fine.

The only way I could see getting a fish on someone elses tipups is if the fish is about to spool them, and no one is around. One day ilikepike was fishing with his friend bill, and pike went to the store on for a coffee run. Well, He got a flag, and bill just let it be keeping an eye on the spool. Well somebody they didn't even know came over and took the flag and fish, it was  a nice salmon I guess. I would have been wicked mad!
Back on topic, I would have bought a vex, and one day when we were hitting the lakers pretty hard, I had chunk bait on, kept gettign hits, but I couldn't figure out why I wasn't hooking any. When it was time to go, I figured out that my chunkbat was over my hook so the hook wasn't showing. Thats about the only thing.
