Tungsten Jigs
« on: Feb 22, 2012, 07:07 PM »
I have been wanting to try some of these jigs, but, when I looked on the Bobbersdown website they seemed pretty expensive and i was wondering if they were worth the extra money. was wondering what ones are worth getting?

They are worth the extra $ as the hooks are extremly  sharp.  I also use the bentley's cost a little more but worth it IMO.

If you are fishing deep water they are worth there weight in gold! They get you back down to fish in a hurray and also help you feel the bite.  Just order them!

With a 2.5mm pinky, you don't even need to tip it with bait. Over 50 gills today!

You may pay a few extra bucks for each tungsten jig, but they are worth every penny.  As you look around you'll start to find deals here and there.  I save my pocket change and buy only tungsten jigs.  I still have some of the regular jigs, but I keep going back to the tungsten.  They are heavier and have more feel.  And the sharp hooks are a plus.

I've got a box full of them in 3mm & 4mm.  My favorite is the  gold tipped with spikes for panfish, any color works great for perch with minnows.

I have over 50 Wolfram Fiskas from yourbobbersdown...its the ONLY jig I use for panfish on ice! They show up great on your vexilar and sink super fast. At almost $3 a pop I only buy GLOW since it offers more options. Try them with plastics when the bait is hot since you can save time not having to rebait!!! My advise...buy some!!!

It's a fine line between fishing & sitting on the ice like an idiot

I wont ever use anything else on gills or crappie! Especially crappie when you need to get your bait down quick! No sinkers for them to look at either! Well worth it!

if you buy them, keep them separated from the lead jigs, eventually you may not have the option to fish the lead and you will want to know which is which. you can not use the lead in mass or nh, maine they cant sell them, its just a matter of time for vt to impose the lead ban
