Patience Pays Off !

[BASSQUATCH]

We were completely set up by 7:15 (2 hour ride) I got one pike about a foot long early . Then not 1 flag ALL day ! Like I've said to friends , 3:00 pm and after that is a great time for bites ! Well @ 3:01 I got my first bass ,then another ,then another ,then @ 4:45 my dead 8" shiner took off ! Pike 
27 1/2"  4.10 Lbs.

3.5 Lbs. Best of 3 bass today

Thanks ! It's always been my favorite time of day ! Almost All of my best fish are caught after 3:00 pm .

I always say that to the guys I fish with, mainly so we can stay until dark   I caught my biggest pike and bass this year between 4-430pm

About 3pm is the feeding time for the lake my grandmother lives on in NH...can't keep tipups baited after that, the flags just start popping left and right.

Technically it WAS alive when I got it  bait shop in central ma. Had some huge pond shiners ! Biggest 10"/12" I bought the 7"/8" .

Looks delicious ! Probably was delicious ! But I had my honey barbecue chicken grinder today ! Fished alone ,until a local name bob came out around noon . Good guy !

Somehow we missed eachother. We fished 1030-5 at the southern end. Had 30+ flags and iced 15 pickerel and one calico bass.  Couldn't buy a largie today.

Looking forward to Saturday.

The only other guy on the pond today I saw was the guy next to me . You must not have gone down the camp road . the entire shore was crap except at the very end of the road . Did you get on at the damn end with the river ? I left the ice at 5:15 and saw no one around . There was one spot I couldn't see ,about 3/4 of the way down the camp road , and it looked like someone got on off a dock . But no one was there at 10:00 or when I left at about 5:30 ??
