It was time for another quick BOQ tour after plans for the closing weekend fell apart. The good news is the weather seemed prime for the weekend. I find with BOQ it's hard to set dates on when to go. We found no ice at Huffs as reported on quinte fishing and Shermans was dicey both Friday & Saturday from our point of vu. We fished Friday and Saturday out of Perfect VU in the 23-24ft and landed 6 fish between 2 of us. We found 6-8" of black ice there. We also seen a fair amount of walleye come through the ice around us! Somebody not pointing fingers deleted 4 Walleye pictures by accident..... Sunday we fished out of Shermans walked out after doing some serious spudding with a group of fisherman that were just as unsure as we were! We fished all depths there from 24-30ft caught 8 fish this day if you include 4 were perch sized ones! We found the ice around the shore and for the first 50ft to be soft but once off it we found 5-7" of black ice there. The 3/4oz gold buckshot was our main walleye taker for the weekend! Here's some pictures that didn't get deleted!
Mike and his 6lb wally so I guessed when he asked
it was also his first in 4 days fishing BOQ
Well with all my fish deleted from Friday to Saturday afternoon it was time to make some new ones!
