Fished Thurs. and Fri. Thursday caught 3 pike and 14 perch, some eaters among those. 2 pike were caught on my walleye jig, and were too small to keep, the other one was on a live target first thing in the morning and was 31 5/8". Tasted great with bud light lime in the evening! The other 3 had a few pike on tip ups, only one keeper though.
Fri I jigged up 6 or 7 pike, 2 keepers, and one small walleye. The other guys had a lot of tip ups, but some were lost, and most were too small to keep. The action came in waves, it would be slow for a while, then we would get 3 or 4 tip ups in a row. My brother pulled out a 38 1/2" pike.
All in all, we had a lot better luck here than we have had in years, too bad there were so many small ones, but it bodes well for the future!
