A couple people have asked me for a report on this lake because it is right above my place and I try and fish it once or twice a month so here is the update on it as of Wed Jan 25th, 2012. I fished it today from 3pm until 6pm. It was incredibly windy up there. I caught two dinky perch and a bunch of 8" - 10" pike that kept biting on my perch jig. I had one flag with an 8" sucker on it but nothing was on it when I tried to set the hook. The ice is soft clear ice that is 10" deep, on top of that is a nasty crusted over slush mess that is 3" to 6" deep. I updated the ice sheet with the info. It was just about impossible to set my popup ice screws without getting soaking wet and I needed them because the wind was really howling up there today. It was probably the second worse day I have had up there so far this season number of fish caught and size of fish caught wise. Beats working though.
