Inman Pond ( Fair Haven Resevoir )

Has anyone fished or checked the ice this year? Was wondering how it was and if the bite is any good.... I may head there friday for a few hours.

I haven't been there this year, but have fished it in the past.  Because its water level fluctuates constantly, I'd be very leery. I've actually seen it on "good" ice years where there would be space between the ice and the water when you drilled through. Be careful!!!  :tipup:

been there twice first time good ice and plenty of perch but the second time i almost went through drilled a hole next to shore and good ice went out and drilled the first hole to fish and wow look at that only two and now its starting to crack around me,  jumped in the sled and shimmied back to shore.  also know 1 or 2 people that went through there.  very unsafe body of water.

i thought i was one of the only people to fish this. i've never had a problem with the ice there. 4 1/4'' this past saturday. i'm heading there on the opener for bass this saturday

Inman is a table 2 water, not open for bass in the winter.  Pg94 in the book.

next time i see the game warden who told me i could keep them from there. i'll tell him otherwise. also i'll tell the people who run the derby board for the great benson derby who took mine and a buddies fish and hung them on the board

i e-mailed dept. of fish & wildlife about the warden. but in his defense, at the time it wasn't listed in the law book so maybe this is why he gave me the go-ahead

Well, there is a lot of safe ice for this weekend, but I doubt I'll make it out.  Got the baby on Saturday and working the show on Sunday.
