For those of you wondering about the IDI vs Striker Ice banter, here are the facts: Striker gear has been out there sinse 2004, but mostly in the snowmobile market. AA has no actual patent, it is only a patent application and has not been vetted by the USPTO so there is no patent. Second, there is prior art concerning flotation assist garments and IDI's claim won't hold up anyway. Third, if IDI does not retract their malicious letters, they will certainly be getting their asses sued by Striker Brands for tortious interference. I give IDI a year before they go out of business. As for Striker Brands, there is even more new gear coming for next year! Watch for Striker Brands to take the market lead in premium ice fishing gear. If you haven't looked yet, they also make some awesome headwear in the premium H2S line.
