ZERCOM LCF40 ??

i was wondering if the ZERCOM LCF40  is worth $100.00 new im told its as good as a vexlar what do yall think?? im new to all this

I used to have one it was ok, I personally would not say it's as good as the vexilar. The vexilar is a little faster and easier to see the fish and your lure. If you don't want to pay more it's worth 100 bucks, the transducer arm and leveling device was always a pain compared to the new ice ducers      jmo

But on the other hand it is a good unit fished them for years. Good point is when you fishing in a little bit of current you can aim you transducer to you jig. you create a little bit of a dead zone but it is not a large of zone as a drop off. I got the fl18 and love it but the zercom is a good unit and would jump on it. it will do the job your looking for till your ready to put out the bucks for next step.

if yah can find one,the zercom colorpoint and the marcum.use the same iceducer as the lcf40
.i think cabelas still sells the iceducer seperate
