So you put off your bait ordering like I did. The forecast after next week looks really good. That doesn't mean it won't change though. They have a hard time forecasting weather a couple hours in advance.

I just got my bait from Jada yesterday...so i don't think it is just you. On the bright side, All of my spikes showed up lively and a not one dead. I got some last year in early December, and used the rest up in July....So I think they are pretty good.

I did not see a good weather forcasted at least until the very end of next week.  until then we got several days in the 40's - 50's with some nights notting getting below freezing. 

after the 14 th it starts to look better.

Hard to be positive when mother nature keeps kicking you square in the ka hones!! I'm really starting to get ticked off....Took down the Christmas lights in a t-shirt and it was warmer out then when I put them up....Gonna go nuts!!

I'm pretty sure there will be ice in the Northeast this coming weekend; here's why. I am playing a blues harp with a friends band on Sat. at a gig in DE. Oh yeah, it's a freebie!   I said I would do it, so no getting out of it. Just now my wife informed me that there will be a dinner get together at the sister in laws on Sun. It would be a little different if the ice was nearby, but with close to two hours each way it would be tough sledding so to speak. I'll be thinking about you lucky bast###s while playing the blues.

listen fellas we have been spoiled the last couple of years and now everybody thinks we r not going to get ice just sit back and start your honey-do list early and the ice will show up and u have to put the list on hold to fish . ucan bet we will get some ice some where thats y we are all on here looking to see how far we have to go to find good ice

I've been flint hunting and passing on doe 30 last week( 7 could have been dead) 20 -40 yards. Looking for a buck without much luck. I really think it's over for ICE as much as I love it. I really glad I didn't rig up my 10-12 jigging rods with new line or order all my bait from Jada.Just might shoot a doe this week and mix half pork and made 80 lbs of so of Italian sausage. I got the winter off and my wife and I are getting on each others nerves a little,she loves when I go ice fishing 3-4 times a week more than me!
