first post on here! but im a sicko when is comes to ice fishing, and went all around the montville area today checking out lakes, most i found was 2 inches and yes i walked on it and chopped a few holes.. had all my safety gear. most ponds, millers had skim ice, with a few being right around the 2 inch mark, shame its gonna be warm the next two days if we had another day or two the small poinds would have been all set.. anyways it was nice to walk on water! and i look forward to fishing with some of u guys and being a part of the site..

Awesome, you're right around my area! Does your name "PikingChaug" make any reference to Pachaug?  ;)

Amston Lake had Ice almost all the way across tonight. But I'm sure it will be gone by the end of the weekend, and the Bald Eagle will be back hunting ducks.
