im getting sick

I have officially started stocking up on rocks in my car to test ice thicknesses. Rocks are frozen to ground. Is that a. Bad habbit

just get a spud why throw rocks all over the ice makes a mess and you cant tell how thick it is

I use cordless drill wit 2 inch drill bit that 3 inch long is the best way to go i had my bit broken from a rock that was in the ice that some dummy throw rock on the ice throw rock or trash is a big no no for icefishing

Have tons of spuds but in the pitch black of 5:30 am id rather not be swimming by myself

Wouldn"t throwing a bunch of spuds on the ice be the same as throwing rocks on the ice to see if it is safe?

you don't throw spuds on the ice you use it to test the ice by slamming it into the ice , (really?)
