I also have access to Foxton and do quite well there...a lot of big pickerel and bass....Caddy, I did hit Miller's Sunday....maybe if you are up as far as White Oak, take a trip up there to see if the shorelines and open water locked up..

Drove up to White Oak today, 2 guys on the ice about 50 - 75 yds off shore. Lake is fully locked up 3 to 3 1/2 in. of solid black where I checked, 20 ft from shore. Talked to the guys when they came off, said the ice was the same where they were set up. Looked a little sketchy beyond where they were set up. May have just capped the last few cold nights, looked like you could see where the break water was freezing on the already formed ice before it locked up. Also checked Miller pond, totally locked but a little less ice. Checked about 20 ft off boat launch, about 2 1/2 - 3 in. Think I'll give it another week or so.......

Fished a lake in the Pointtell area today. Could not get out very far before getting into 2 in of ice. The 3 in I was on was cracking as you walked. Got 10 perch in the shallows between my son and I. I would not recommend going anywhere as ice is deteriorating fast.

Guys! 2 men died yesterday just across the border from Wayne county. Trying to get off ice at end of day. If you go under thin ice conditions 1.5 to 2inches reported.Have ice picks, rope and a flotation device.Better yet stay away until we get safe ice. Thoughts and prayers go out to there family's. There ages 31 and 50.
