hello from Nebraska, heading out to see my in laws next week father in law doesn't ice fish and i hope to change that anyway i need info and tips on any lakes in or around the Denver area

There are a few options depending on what you want to fish for and how far you want to drive. I am not sure how the metro area ice is holding up with the warm weather and winds lately. If you want him to like ice fishing, safe ice is probably a good start.

Anywhere in the higher elevations is pretty safe but always use caution of course. 11 mile if u have a shanty alot of people are starting to show up there. Antero would be worth looking @ also. Trout are primarly the catch but there is some pike 2. Not sure about the front range though because I live in the mountains. Good luck
