I made it out for a few hours before dark today.
Thanks to my uncle Danny and a late flurry I ended up with a decent little pile. Not much size to them, but they made for a decent meal.
Super stoked to be back at it with the perch!

congrats. How did the warm temps affect the ice today I was on 4 yesterday but it has been in the 40's for almost two days now

Jflood, I had about 3" of nice black ice with an inch of white on top. It''l survive a day or so of this mess, but not much more.

Fishing in tee shirt weather is only supposed to happen in late march. For the past 2 days, I was actually getting scared to stay on the ice. So much so on Saturday that I decided to leave 3 hours before dark, instead of staying until dark as I wanted to. Today at least I was able to stay until close to dark, but this weather is really setting the ice back. That arctic air coming on Tuesday is not soon enough.

Jamey, nice post and nice pics. You always do an ice trip much justice and then sone with your reports / pics. That;s why all of us members love you.

We caught a nice flurry after you left adding to my pile a bit. Thanks a bunch for the fish. It was a perfect first fry of the year.'

That was us fishing right up until dark Real Deal. Thanks for not posting it. There was open water out a ways. We were good to go as long as we didn't head out far.
