If and when the ice comes

If the ice comes.. say, mid to late January ( hope this week though).. Will it still be considered early ice since it's later than normal getting here. Or will it be considered mid ice right from the start. I'm sure I'm not the only one with crazy thoughts running through their heads from all this crazy weather and lack of ice fishing.

 the o2 will be there and the weed decay should be delayed, so you shouldnt notice the mid ice lull as soon as they freeze. I hope.lol

First ice is aways first ice. Last ice is right before it melts. The middle is between them ::) Believe me I am getting worried myself. Its not uncommon to not have safe ice before Jan. 10th this far east. But with the forecasts it ain't looking good. Looks like alot of road trips north for me >:(

I know that! But I was asking other guys pig, not you  ::). But more like, will it feel like mid ice than first ice?.. ::)
Honestly, I know the surface has plenty of oxygen mixing while open. Never mind, I'm goin bazurk waiting on the ice  :wacko:

the first ice is always the best. that hard black ice. as long as it keeps building then usually it stays solid. when we start gettin snow and some melt thats when it starts rotting and gettin worse!
