Ice in the island area

Rumor has it that there is plenty of ice between Kellys and SBI.Heard good catches of eyes and that ice was thick enough to drive on from Catawba State Park,can anyone cofirm this.

See my lastest reply to (Lake Erie Ice Fishing) We had to get off the Island by air boat and the ice was cracking and water gushing up many times between South Bass and the point of main land. Thats some widow making ice if you ask me. I can see how many people drown on pack ice like that. The water on west side of (SB) island was so stained you couldn't see 12" down the hole. I talked to every ice fisherman I could find over there and no one caught (S***) I'd sure like to be there
when they start biting cus they have been starving theirself's for a while now from what the locals say.
