Ice is good? It was 57 in Columbus today.  Windy all week. How are the shorelines? Usually its tough to even get on the ice when it gets warm.

Young blood I was in that general area.  Ice was solid on 12/27 when I was there.  Fished from 9am to noon. Caught one 18" rainbow and lost 1 other.

Did not make it out at all last winter, working to much. Two years ago, went out at night, caught some ling.
But 25 years ago, a buddy and I use to fish Cooney a lot in the winter. We always did real well, but hit it at daylight and fishing was pretty much over by 9 or 10.  Usually had the best luck with cheese and corn. Hope ot get out there in the next couple of weeks. Want to try a new method that has been running through my head.

bsharp, get a few more posts and you can access the MT reports board.  Quite a few comments about ice conditions there.  Guys were saying ice is getting soft around edges, but w/ this colder weather probably OK now.  Good fishin' - OH
