I can't afford to use cheap lubricant, for many reasons. I use Amsoil Sabre at 100:1, no wear, no smoke, no fouling and no puking black snot out the exhaust. Ethanol free, 87 octane or above. My Eskimo Mako has never failed, nor has the weed whacker or chain saw. That's what this oil was designed to be run at, 100:1. Amsoil also has a stabilizer, for those who think it's needed. http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/atp.aspx
I run my strike master with Amsoil Sabre Pro at 80:1 plus everything else I've got. The outboard has the Amsoil outboard version at 50:1. I wouldn't put any other additives in until at the end of the season.
My auger was running on about a 20:1 mix of Christmas cookies and pepsi today. I love my new Nils!
Well if nils comes out with one and I fork over the cash to buy it I'll race you with my mix vs whatever you have...just sayin...
When a manufacturer recommends 40/1 or 50/1 it is based on their recommended oil. It's the oil itself that determines the mixture. Some of the better oils have far better lubricating properties & can be mixed leaner. I use Amsoil Sabre Professional mixed at aprox. 80/1 in both my chainsaws & auger.Once I finish up my marine 2 stroke oil my boats will be going to a Amsoil product also.
Its on... I will win with the mo and I will have extra cash left over to buy you a beer after
TruFuel 40:1.....no BS ethanol and synthetic oil pre mixed off the shelf. Dem Coonass bros down Louisiana know how to make em some gasoline, fo sho. Never in a million years would I ever trust any yankee ass liberal company north of the gulf states to give me real gasoline. Liberals are the devil, and so is ethanol.
40:1...
