X67c Transducer
« on: Dec 26, 2011, 05:02 PM »
Hello all, I received a x67c from good ole Santa Claus and after opening it was wondering if anyone actually uses the transducer support cable?

Thanks,
Nick

I tried the first few times I used it but it seemed to be in the way all the time, so I just drop the transducer down the hole and let it hang with the cable wrapped around the unit to hold it in place.  Works fine and no arm or anything in the way.

Nope, I bought mine used and it didn't have it, don't use the float either. I just keep the 67 on a bucket and tuck the cable under the carrying case.. Enjoy the machine...

If you don't use a support or a float, make sure the ducer is a little below ice level or situated in a way that it is level pointing straight down. You don't want it to be leaning against the side of the hole crooked.

Get a float or you can make one from any closed cell foam . I drilled and slit a rubber stopper for the stop bead. The foam came from a garbage pick weight machine. Two nylon ties complete it.
Much better for hole hopping.
When the game is over Both the king and pawn both go back in the same box.
