Heading over to Crawford tomorrow.
« on: Dec 25, 2011, 02:43 PM »
Was going to go today but will hold out one more day. Need to get some Meal worms and nothing open today.

Anyone going there tomorrow?  Maybe we can meet up there.

Coach K and his son are going to be there, betting over by the dam.  I would but I'm coming down with the crud.

Get well soon, there is ice outside.

3 hours of moving around and drilling holes and not a bite. Went home. Started at the Point by the Ranger station and used my fish finder. Not a mark of any fish. Moved over to the dam area and there were 6 others over there and didn't see a fish caught. Everyone was moving all over the place.

One guy came in to the point and it took him 20 pulls to start his auger and 22 seconds to drill through 5 inches of ice.

The point area had 4-5" and over by the dam I found 8".  My 10" auger drilled an inch a second started on first pull all but once which took 2 pulls.

Love my Eskimo

Dang, that's a tough (non)-bite.  Glad your Eskimo works so well though.

A friend of mine went to Eleven Mile and caught 2 fish between him and his son. He said it was dead over there as well.

I could have stayed at Crawford longer and the bite might have gotten better but I had other things to do at home. Hard to search for 3 hours with no bites.

By far the best crappie bite there IMO is from 3:30 till dark, usually for both size and numbers. ;)
