fire extinguisher

Is there a speacial type of fire extinguisher for freezing temps?
Im building a shanty and need to get one for the wall.

I am not a professional but I dont think it matters as your standard household extingusher is full of powder.

Just have to make sure you get a class A extinguisher....

i would suggest an ABC dry chemical......its an allaround good choice for an ice shanty..  it has the ability to extinguish ordinary combustibles (wood,paper,cloth) and it will take care of flammable liquids (propane, gasoline) as well.

good point.... I forgot about all the flammable liquids that ice fisherman deal with LOL ;D

I would look into the new all season version of the Cold Fire products.  After I saw what they were capable of I got a few cans to leave at my camp near the woodstove, a can for each of my vehicles, and one for my sled and snowmobile.  The all season isn't supposed to freeze down to -50 F, so it won't work everywhere but most places should be fine!
