Whats the warmest Michigan winter we've had ?

Just wondering if any of are SEASONED ISer's can remember the worst of the worst 
My memory really isn't what it should be
Could we be possibly heading in this direction, I know it's still December but this is nuts

I remember one Christmas day that my wife and I sat on the back porch, while the kids played with the toys, and we had to swat "skeeters" till they drove us inside. Seems to me that about 2 weeks later we had about two blizzards in a row.

Way up here in da UP we're usually walking on water the last week of November/1st week of December. 12 or 13 years ago we had a 'winter' that was a little late in appearing. How late? Late enough that the 1st week of December I punched the holes for an enormous wraparound deck project because the ground hadn't froze yet and it was in the fifties every day. The 'weather' held until just before Christmas and the local lake didn't cap over until mid January. It was a very short season that particular year.

Warmest ? 8-10 yrs ago, early ice, it warmed up and it never came back. Can remember back in college during the 70s, on ice by Thanksgiving, Gull would get 36"- 40+" and we'd still be on ice during Spring break. More worried about the next Ice Age than Global Warming, no joke

Almost started believing in Al Gore that day.

I remember I think 1980 give or take a year or two on xmas day there was someone water skiing on a lake in town here, it was in the mid to upper 60's.

2 days ago it was 52* here, my neighbor actually mowed his lawn, and it needed it, so does mine but I'm not into tempting fate.....

I would hate to break another record this year. I think it's the wettest on record for Michigan (2011)
Lets hope December was just some freak crap

I remember Thunderstroms on Christmas Eve 1982? and the temp on Christmas day was 60+ degrees .I also remember riding my motercycle in a T-shirt that day

It seems that we have the best ice when Michigan loses to Ohio State. We have had a lot of good ice the last decade,  just say'in......

Sometime back in the early 80's, middle of February. No snow, ice was gone. Grilling out and tossing the frisbee in a T-shirt.

Sitting in a boat with my fishing partner two days after Christmas, people out jogging by, pointing and laughing at us yelling, "Look at those idiots fishing from a boat in December!". Of course they couldn't see the stringer of seven pike on the back side of our boat all over 30" after 1 1/2 hours of fishing.
