i was out on sunday and did well for rainbows.  took out a newbie ice fisherman, and got him hooked  ;D.  we landed 16 in a few hours, and kept our limits this time.  a few small ones for the pan, and the rest a bit bigger for baking or for the grill.  local pg lake where the fish taste great.

i don't think eena lake is a secret to anyone.  in my experience it is the most heavily pressured ice fishing lake around pg.

that being said, i've been out there many times and limited out and seen all sorts of yahoos say there are no fish ;D

Just another lake ruined by stocking it with Rainbows.      :-\     should have stuck with just Brookies

Cobb Lake has been stocked with rainbows for more than 25 years!-  I always find it funny how folks have a couple of slow trips and suddenly the sky is caving in.   ;) check out the link below if you don't believe it.

Cheers.

Cobb lake was great fishing about 10-15 years ago. Its still good now however it seems that there is way more fishing pressure. I have had less luck there in the past few years and the easy access doesn't help. Its a great family destination! Personally I like a little more quiet.

cobb and eena are no secrets and are indeed great lakes for families with young kids. we still seem to do alright at cobb but as mentioned, there is alot of pressure out there these days. plenty of fish but not nearly as big as ten years ago.
well, you think it's any good over there?

Cobb was one of the first lakes that I iced fished. It was originally stocked with brookies about 25 years ago.  We enjoyed some great ice fishing there. It was never as good when it first opened for ice fishing.
I often flyfish Cobb in the spring for rainbows. The past two years the fishing has been slower and the catch size smaller. Just may have hit it at the wrong time but just didn't seem as fishy as it should have been.
It is one one the heavier  fished lakes in the region, due to easy access and draws fishers and campers from PG and Hoof.

i've never had a lot of success at vivian.  i personally think it is over rated, and wouldn't waste my time fishing there.  ya, you'll get the odd nice brookie, but, there are far better lakes in the PG area.

It was slushy and my feet did get wet.
My own fault....I should have worn my lined-gumboots.
