I got out for the first time this year with jacksmelt, jacksmelt's son, and teampar. We had just and awesome day all around. Action was steady and I don't think we went longer than 20 minutes without a flag. jacksmelt and I chased flags all day while teampar and jacksmelts son stayed in the shack and jigged for smelt. We ended up with a total of 15 splake (14-19"), 1 10" brookie, and 10-12 dozen smelt. We also lost some really nice fish. I went elbow deep after a 20-24" splake that spit the hook at the hole. I can't wait to go again!

Very nice guys. Perfect conditions for your first couple of trips out. Thanks for the updates / pics by cell phone, Matt. Keep them coming, I really enjoy them. It might be just me, but I'm partial to the smelt pics more than the fish pics.
