Soo has any one herd any thing about Desoto will they be open when we finaly get some cold weather ??

No word last year they opened around mid Jan. Never been what's the bite like up there. And do they have any eyes, pike, or perch?

It has been a pretty  good lake for crappie and eyes  can be tough but a good lake but Idk what the flooding did to it.

Just read in the Blair paper that Desoto is set to open up Jan. 2 2012. That includes opening up for ice fishing (taking into account that we have ice by then). I think it will be an interesting year for fishing at DeSoto, the flood proabably left behind quite a few fish. Maybe some species we don't normally catch in there.

I just hope the river didn't silt in most of the lake any more then it all ready is but yeah u just hope we have ice  and thanks for sharing the good news.
