Echo Lake Question
« on: Dec 13, 2011, 09:24 PM »
Hey guys, my dad just bought a house near idaho springs and I noticed on google maps Echo Lake.  Any of you had luck there during the ice and non ice seasons?  Just wondering.  I'm gonna need a place too fish when I visit.  Any lakes near Idaho Springs that you would recommend for summer or hardwater season?

Boilermaker I was by Echo last week and talked to the only one on the lake. He had one hole in maybe 8” of ice. The thing that got me was he had a 1 ½” pipe that was maybe 10' long with a hook on one end and a sled packed full of weeds. The second one he says and was dumping them on the shore. A lot of work to fish a hole you dug in the weeds.  ??? You tell me ??? We didn't fish there as we had just came off of  G-Town and two another smaller lakes.
