« on: Dec 13, 2011, 01:30 PM »
Hi,

Ice Report 12/13/2011

Well I left the house in Winsted @ 10:00 AM -> Temp. was 32 degrees.
All waters with ice where spudded (plate size piece extracted) and ice measured.

Wood Creek -> Black ice -> 1 3/4 inch thick at boat ramp.
Park Pond -> Black ice over most of pond -> 5/16 inch thick with a few open holes observed.
Winchester Lake -> Observed the bay left (west) of boat ramp has ice the rest of lake is all open water.
Burr Pond -> Black ice with wide open leads left of boat ramp and also down the west side of pond as far as I could see. Ice was 5/16 inches thick at the beach.
Highland Lake -> Open water.
Colebrook Res. -> Open water.
Hogsback Res. -> Open water.
West Hill Pond -> Open water.

Returned to home @ 12:30 PM -> Temp. 46 degrees.
